Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a set of psychological techniques and models that aim to help individuals improve communication, personal development, and achieve specific goals. NLP is based on the idea that there is a connection between neurological processes (neuro-), language (linguistic), and behavioural patterns learned through experience (programming). It is a powerful set of tools particularly when used in conjunction with hypnotherapy and coaching.

Key components of NLP include:

1. Neurology (Neuro): This refers to the idea that our experiences are processed through our senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell) and that our mental processes and perceptions are influenced by these sensory inputs.

2. Linguistics (Linguistic): Language plays a significant role in shaping our thoughts, behaviours, and how we communicate with others. NLP emphasises the importance of language in understanding and changing thought patterns.

3. Programming: This relates to the idea that people can reprogram their thoughts, behaviours, and responses to various stimuli by changing the way they think about and react to experiences.
